Reaching people, all loved by the Father, and training them to be disciples of Jesus the Son, so together we mature in the fruit of the Spirit, for the glory of God.
About us
Christ-centered, missions, discipleship, prayer and family-oriented are only a few things that come to mind when you think of Oakdale Baptist Church.
Our purpose is to evangelize to the lost, grow in Christ, serve our community and world, worship God, and love one another.
Most people have their own idea about what church means. We believe it is being part of a welcoming, open and honest congregation living in the image of Christ. To be part of our church means joining a rich history - and having many new opportunities. These include joining a service group, teaching children, singing in the choir. Come worship and build your faith for an ever-changing world.
Every day we support each other, as well as those in need across town, or across the world. We come together to sing, laugh, eat, cry, and pray . This is what we call Oakdale.
What we Believe
Our expressed beliefs are conservative in nature. We believe in one God who exists in a relationship of Father, Son, and Holy Spririt. We hold the Bible to be divinely inspired and perfect in the original manuscripts. We believe that Jesus Christ was totally Divine and totally human. His death on the cross and bodily resurrection makeit possible for us to be free from the constraints and eternal judgments of sin, bad choices, rebellious lives, and destructive actions. We believe that people can change through God's grace. We believe that life is sacred and the human spirit is eternal. Also, people can have a personal relationship with God through Jesus. He is the Way, the Turth and the Life. Wile this list is not exhaustive, we hope it gives you a basic understanding of the worldview by which we try to live.
